Kathleen "Kathy" A. Brumm

Kathleen A. Kathy Brumm, 68 of Rochester, MN passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016 surrounded by her family at Rochester Mayo Clinic Saint Marys Campus. Kathleen Ann Daskam was born March 28, 1948 to Donald and Dorothy (Jacklin) Daskam in Rochester, MN. Kathy graduated in 1966 from Crestwood High School in Cresco, IA. She then went to further education at Rochester Community College, graduating in 1968. While attending college, she met her future husband, Dale Oakie Brumm. Oakie and Kathy were married on September 12, 1970 in Rochester, MN. Kathy worked at the Mayo Clinic for 34 years. Kathy had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed reading, garage sales, gardening and spending time with friends and family and her dogs, Barney, Missy Sue and Jack. Kathy is survived by her husband, Dale Oakie; daughter, Heather Brumm of Denver Colorado; and a son, Brandon Brumm of Rochester, MN. She is also survived by a brother, Allan (Julie) Daskam of Cresco, IA and a sister, Darla Rance of Lime Springs, IA. She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother-in-law, Ray Rance; and her favorite dog, Sid. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes with the Reverend Luke Nelson of Homestead Church officiating. Visitation will take place from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Burial will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
