Kathleen Marie Zahradnik

Kathleen M. Zahradnik, age 79, of Rochester, passed away on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Season's Hospice House in Rochester surrounded by her family. A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place, NW, Rochester MN 55901, with a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. There will be a spring burial in Calvary Cemetery in Austin, MN. Kathleen Marie Eagen was born on September 14, 1939, in Austin, Minnesota, to John and Catherine (Lickteig) Eagen. She attended Austin Catholic School and graduated from Austin High School. Kathleen graduated from Rochester Community College with her Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. She worked at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester as a secretary for many years until her retirement. Kathleen loved reading, bird watching and walking the outdoors especially around Silver Lake. She enjoyed her independence and going on road trips with her dog. She enjoyed babysitting and spending time with her family and friends. Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Peggy (Bruce) Eckloff of Oronoco; grandchildren, Joseph Zahradnik, Heather Eckloff and Lindsey (Josh) Grudem; great-grandson, Percy Grudem; brother, William Eagen of St. Paul, MN. Kathleen was preceded in death by her sons, Michael and Thomas Zahradnik. Arrangements are with Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place, NW, Rochester MN 55901.
