Kathleen Ann (Kay) Morben, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at her home after a courageous 20 month battle with pancreatic cancer. Kay Fleetham was born October 16, 1937 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Bernice and Gilbert Fleetham.She grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from Minneapolis Roosevelt High School.Kay was united in marriage to Ronald Morben on June 27, 1959 in Minneapolis.She is a charter member of Pax Christi Catholic Church in Rochester, MN. Kay was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.She enjoyed spending time with family and particularly watching her grandkids in church, school and sporting activities. Kay was also a willing volunteer in numerous church and community activities.Kay is survived by her husband, Ronald Morben; three daughters, Nancy (Jim) Vegel, Carol (Bill) Zerfas, and Diane (Terry) McGill; a son, Michael; and grandchildren, Erik, Joey and TroyVegel, Hanna, Camille, Abbey and Aaron Zerfas, Brook and Tia McGill; brother, Ed Fleetham; sister, Jeanette Hill and sister-in-law, Karen Olson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernice and Gilbert Fleetham; and her brother-in-laws, Jerry Hill and Gary Olson. There will be a funeral service at 12:00 p.m Friday, March 7, 2014 at Pax Christi Catholic Church (4135 18th Avenue NW Rochester, MN) with Father Joe Fogal officiating. Prior to the funeral, visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00p.m.Burial will take place at Oakwood East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to Rochester Mayo Clinic Hospice or Mayo Clinic pancreatic research in Kays name.
