Kathleen Ann Ford

ROCHESTER -Kathleen Ann Ford, 55, died on Friday, October 5, 2012 at home in Rochester. Kathleen was born in Evanston, IL on April 13, 1957 to Gerald Ford Sr. and Beverly (Nelson) Szuflita.She participated in programs and made lifelong friends at Abilities Unlimited.Kathy was a Biker Babe and enjoyed Harley's. Kathleen is survived by her parents; two children, Robert Butler, of IL, and Nicole (Ken) Kohler, of Bloomington, IL; a step son, Johnny (Jennifer) Butler, of Chattanooga, TN; four grandchildren, Joslyn, Bella, Carter, and Abagail; a stepfather, Henry Szuflita; and a brother, Gerald Ford, Jr. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Deedrick officiating. Because of her love for animals, Kathy has requested that memorials be directed to Paws and Claws Humane Society, 602 7th Street NW, Rochester, MN 55901. A special thanks to the staff at REM Marion for becoming her family and for laughing, loving, and living with Kathy.
