Karin M. Hesby

Karin Maria Hesby, 62, of Rochester, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 2, 2019 at her home. Karin was born March 3, 1957 in Rothenbach, Germany to Emil and Lydia (Will) Schropfer. She was a graduate of Foster High School in Rothenbach, Germany and Westminster Vocational School in Nuremberg, Germany. She married Dan Hesby in Denmark on December 9, 1982, while Dan was serving in the U.S. Army, and moved to the United States in 1985. Karin worked in retail for many years. She enjoyed reading, had a passion for all types of music, loved to sing opera and enjoyed cooking and shopping. Karin was genuinely funny, with a straight forward attitude. She was also a generous, humble and compassionate woman. She is survived by her loving husband, Dan; daughters, Marissa Hesby and Audrey Hesby both of Rochester, and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother, Otto. A celebration of Karin's life will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
