Karen Kay Herron

Karen K. Herron, 69, of Rochester, MN died Thursday, June 18, 2020 at Samaritan Bethany. Karen Kay Koch was born March 21, 1951 to Robert and Phyllis (Utecht) Koch in Owatonna, MN. She graduated from Mayo High School in 1969. She babysat for many years and worked at Woodside Nursing Home. Most recently she worked as a nurse's aide at the Charter House in Rochester. She enjoyed fishing, sitting in the sun, and playing BINGO. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Karen is survived by her father, Robert (Deanna) Koch of Downey, CA; siblings, Sue Koch of Rochester, MN; Darrell (Mary) Koch of Chatfield, MN, Renee (Dick) Hanks of CA and Rhonda Parkhouse of CA; step father, Wally Freiheit of Wabasha, MN and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis. A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
