Juneuetta "June" Pike

Juneuetta (Barger) Pike, age 88, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Madonna Meadows, surrounded by her loving family. June was born June 29, 1925 in Downey, Idaho, the daughter of Samuel Jasper and Lillie Belle (Purser) Barger. June grew up in Downey, Idaho. She had 8 brothers and sisters. On January 8, 1946, she married Elden Lewis Pike in Austin, MN. After working at the Mayo Clinic as a physical therapy assistant for many years, she retired to spend more time with her family. June was a very special lady. She had a great love and compassion for others. Her family and her faith in the Lord were the most important things in her life. She made great personal sacrifice in order to show her love and faith in the Lord. She is survived by her 3 sons, Ron (Judy) of Mound, MN., Gary (Nancy) of Rochester, MN., Rick (Creda) of Byron, MN; 2 daughters, Sherie (Rory) Lenton of Rochester, MN and Jill (Wayne) Dietrich of Dexter, MN and stepson, Orluff (Judy) O'Pheikens of Ogden, Utah. June is also survived by her brother, Delos Barger; 24 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 1 great, great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elden Pike; daughter, Julie Bennett; 2 granddaughters; her parents; 4 brothers and 3 sisters. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1002 16th St. SE, Rochester, MN 55904. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 PM Friday, January 3, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes 5421 Royal Place NW., Rochester and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
