June Rose Mueske, 95, of Rochester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. June was born June 20, 1923 in West Concord, MN to Grover and Lottie (Harwick) Moore. On October 26, 1940 in Decorah, IA, June married Bennie Mueske and they later divorced. She worked as a baker at Silver Lake Foods and then worked at Rainbow Foods before retiring in 2001 at the age of 80. June enjoyed playing cards and bingo, going to the casino, and Wii bowling. She was an avid walker and would walk 2 miles a day up until she was 94 years old! She loved watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings but above all she loved spending time with her family. June was a dedicated mother, raising eight children on her own. She was thrifty to make ends meet for her family and taught them about hard work and determination. She was a loving and devoted mother. June is survived by her children, Wayne (Eileen) Mueske, Stanley (Leah) Mueske, Bennie (Margaret) Mueske, Sandra Kirgis, Russell (Cheri) Mueske, and Keith (Debs) Mueske; daughter-in-law, Becky Mueske; 27 grandchildren; numerous great- grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. June is preceded in death by her former husband, Bennie; son, Robert; brother, Warren; sisters, Velma and Shirley; grandchildren, Sherri, Jennifer, Jamie and Christine; daughter-in-law, Darlene Mueske and by her parents, and most recently, her son, Donald G. Mueske. A funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until time of the service. Rev. Bob Blanshan will be officiating. Interment will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 13, 2019 at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
