Judy and Tony Pressnall

Tony Pressnall, 72, died peacefully at home in Rochester on January 9, 2021 after a brief illness.

Tony was born Gregory Thomas Pressnall to Dick and Dorothy Pressnall in Rochester on Aug. 19, 1947. One parent wanted to name him Gregory and the other, Anthony. They named him Gregory, brought him home and called him Tony. He attended St. Francis, Central and John Marshall schools. On Feb. 2, 1968, he married Judy Hessig and they were about to celebrate their 52nd anniversary. Tony worked for Pepsi Cola for over 25 years. He was co-owner of Three Rivers Tree Service and worked in Information Technology at Mayo Clinic until retirement.

Tony was an avid gardener, hunter, fisherman and wildlife and antique collector. He supported Ducks Unlimited and Pheasant's Forever and enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips with family and friends. He loved his family, friends, flowers, antiques and an occasional trip to the casino.

Tony is survived by his wife, Judy; two sons, Jeffrey and Scott of Rochester; five grandchildren, Nikita Dolan and Benjamin, Gavin, Anthony and Nadia Pressnall; one sister, Mary Quarve; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Matt and Andy Pressnall; two sisters, Patty and Ann Pressnall Swee; and one nephew, Jim Hessig.

To honor his wishes, his body was donated to Mayo Clinic and a private family service will be held in the future.

Judith Bell Pressnall died at home with her family and friends November 10, 2022 at the age of 74. Judy was born to Harry and Betty Hessig September 13, 1948 at Saint Mary's Hospital, Rochester,MN.

Judy attended Edison elementary school, Central Junior High and John Marshall High School in Rochester, MN. Growing up Judy was a mischievous youngster known by her many friends as a neighborhood prankster. Over the years she acquired multiple nicknames. Bell or Piglet were friend favorites. Her family referred to her fondly as the dork or suggly ister.

Judy started her working years with Bell Telephone Company. She made many new friends who remained the Bellheads lunch bunch well into retirement. She began a second career at The Mayo Clinic again making new friends extending her extended family even more.

On February 2, 1968, Judy married Gregory Anthony(Tony) Pressnall. They moved to Chatfield, MN where they raised their family. Later moving to Rochester Judy and Tony enjoyed antiques, playing cards with friends, dinners out, gardening and an occasional trip to the Casino.

Judy is survived by her sons, Jeffery and Scott Pressnall, Rochester, MN, grandchildren, Benjamin, Gavin, Dolan, Nikita, Nadia and Anthony Pressnall. Sister Lora Schwartz Lawson(Rene) Fountain Hills, AZ and brother John Hessig, Rochester, MN.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Tony and nephew James Hessig.

Upon Judy's wishes her body was donated to Mayo Clinic. She will eventually rest next to Tony at Oakwood Cemetery.
