Judith "Judy" Ann Schlicht

SCHLICHT Judith Ann Schlicht, 73, of Rochester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 11, 2016 in Rochester surrounded by the spirit of her family. Judy was born November 19, 1942 in La Crosse, WI to Bernard and Mabel (nee Rodenberg) Hobelsberger. She was a 1960 graduate of Aquinas High School in La Crosse. On July 27, 1963, Judy married Paul Schlicht in La Crosse. She was a member of Pax Christi Catholic Church and the St. Marys Hospital Auxiliary. Judy was a fantastic seamstress creating numerous items for Handicrafts for Mayo Clinic and baptismal bibs for church. She spent 15,000+ hours working on these items for others. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and entering her crafts into the county fairs, where she won many ribbons. Judy was a strong spirited woman, believed in her faith and never gave up. She was very generous with her time and talent. Judy is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Paul; daughters, Debbie (Jim) Daley of Rochester, Lori Kari of Rochester; grandchildren, Caitlin Daley, Brenna Daley and Bryce Kari; brothers, Dick (Betty) Hobelsberger of La Crosse, WI, Jim (Cindy) Hobelsberger of La Crescent, MN; brother-in-law, Richard (Sue) Schlicht of Sheboygan Falls, WI; a sister, Mary from Los Angeles and a host of other family and friends. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Mabel and by an infant brother, Robbie. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00AM Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Pax Christi Catholic Church, 4135 18th Ave. NW, Rochester.Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 PM Friday, June 17, 2016 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester and one hour prior to the service at the church.
