Mrs. Joyce M. Bormann, age 95, of Rochester, died on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Samaritan Bethany Home on 8th in Rochester. She was born on March 7, 1919, in Utica, MN to George and Jessie (Boynton) Woodward. On November 5, 1938, Joyce married Carlton Bormann in Utica. They farmed in the Lewiston area from 1938 to 1951. They moved to Rochester where Mrs. Bormann was a homemaker for several years. She also worked part-time at the Mayo Clinic for 19 years until her retirement in 1976. Joyce was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Joyce is survived by her children, Kermit (Karen) Bormann and daughter, Myrna (Larry) Reinartz, both of Rochester; grandchildren, Eric (Misun) Bormann, Denise (Doug) Jans, David (Dana) Bormann and Steven Reinartz. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, two sisters and one granddaughter, Laura Mae Reinartz. The memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2015, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester with Pastor Adam Koglin officiating. The burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. The visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. If desired, memorials are preferred to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
