Joseph Jenkins

Joseph R. Jenkins, 84, passed peacefully on November 4, 2024, in Pine Island, Minnesota.

Born in Chicago, IL, to Joseph Blackburn Jenkins and Chlora Viola Goodin on December 29, 1939. Joe met the love of his life, Barbara Marie Olson, in Eau Claire, WI, where they were married, in 1963. Joe was a Morse Code interceptor for the Army Security Agency. Joe worked for Woolworth's, then Menards, which led him to Rochester. Joe retired from Menards in 2000 after 28 years of service.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Barb and children, Mark, Michelle and Scott.

Surviving Joe are his son, Joe and wife, Lori, grandson Aaron and wife Gabby, granddaughter Heidi and great grandson Braxtin.

Joe was known for his caring and giving personality. Joe and his wife enjoyed playing cards and travelling. Joe really enjoyed woodworking, reading and spending time with his grandchildren.

Joe's life will be celebrated on December 10, 2024, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, from 9-11am. Interment will follow for family and friends at 2pm at Lakeview Cemetery in Eau Claire, WI.
