Rochester- John(Jack) W. Curtis, age 56 died at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester on Monday, February 20, 2012 of complications following a heart attack last week. John, a painter by trade was currently working for Pro-Tec Systems. A private family funeral service at Calvary Episcopal Church will be held at a later date. John William Curtis was born March 22, 1955 to Leonard J. and Ruth (Ham) Curtis in Elmhurst, Ill. He grew up in Lombard, Ill. and graduated from Glenbard East High School Class of '73. He moved to Indianapolis, Ind. where he married Lynnette Rosek. They later divorced. He lived in Indianapolis, Michigan, and Lombard, Ill. before moving to Rochester, MN. in 1988. John was a Cub's Fan. He loved to play baseball as a young man and he taught his daughter to play. He was also an avid golfer and enjoyed the company of other players. He also enjoyed the companionship and friendship of working with his fellow tradesman. He is survived by a daughter; Ashley E. Curtis and a grandson Aiden Dean living in Noblesville, Ind., his mother, Ruth Curtis, a sister, Mary Curtis, a brother, Leonard (Lenny) Curtis all of Rochester, Mn. a brother, Lawrence Larry (Mary) Curtis of Torrington, Wyoming and a brother Thomas Tommy (Kim) Curtis of Durham, North Carolina.
