John Gorvin

John C. Gorvin, 80, of Oronoco, MN died Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Saint Marys Hospital. John Charles Gorvin was born August 28, 1937 to Russell and Frances (Eckhart) Gorvin in Blooming Prairie, MN. John grew up and attended grade school in Austin, MN. He proudly served for the United States Marine Corp. John started working construction and worked Benike Construction for many years. On May 11, 1968 he married Sandra Stiller in Rochester. He enjoyed wood working and going to the casino. John is survived by his wife, Sandra of Oronoco; his daughter, Melissa (Jason) Gillmore of Rochester; four grandchildren; and a brother, Michael Gorvin of Austin, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, David John Gorvin and one sister, Marie Kolb. There will be a visitation from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes.
