John Dreher, 86, of Rochester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at the Seasons Hospice House in Rochester. Mr. Dreher was born January 23, 1934 and was raised on the family farm north of Rochester. Once married, he farmed at home while employed at Mayo Clinic as a clinical researcher. He married Eunice Kvale in June of 1958 and later divorced. John later worked for many years at Professional Instruments, a job he greatly enjoyed. He would have the reader note that he never stopped working, rather he was furloughed due to the covid-19 pandemic in late March/early April. Mr. Dreher is survived by his ex-spouse, Eunice Hill of Cottonwood, AZ; three children, Rebecca Dreher, Jeffrey Dreher and Sue Dreher, all of Rochester; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter. Due to the ongoing pandemic, a graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 19, 2020 at Oakwood Cemetery, Rochester, MN. The family will meet and process to the cemetery from Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. The family will gather at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home and the procession will be leaving the funeral home at 1:30 p.m., all are invited.
