Joanne M. Amos

Joanne M. (Schwemmer) Amos, 70, of Rochester, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015 at St. Mary's Campus in Rochester, MN Joanne Amos was born May 25, 1945 in Dexter to Emil and Louise (Hayle) Schwemmer. She was a 1963 graduate of Grand Meadow High School. On September 26, 1964 she Married Gerald Ike Amos. Joanne worked various jobs in the service industry. She enjoyed gardening, going to garage sales and her tea pot collection but above all else she loved to spend time with her family. Joanne is survived by her children, Theresa (Jeremy) Whitney, Jon (Stephanie) Amos and daughter-in-law Jessica Amos. Joanne is also survived by her siblings Irene (Erling) Burns, Eugene (Glenda) Schwemmer and her grandchildren, Jeremy, Justin, Courtney, Tyler, Olivia and Taylor. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, son,Tom Amos, her brother, Ronald Schwemmer and her parents. A visitation will be held 5:00 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. A private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
