Joann A. Luther

ROCHESTER, MINN:JoAnn A. Luther, 60, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 9, 2015. JoAnn Anita Helmbrecht was born June 23, 1955 to Alfred and Joyce (Nesler) in Rochester, MN. JoAnn graduated from Mayo High School in 1973. JoAnn married Donald Hofbauer and they were later divorced. She later married Tom Luther. She worked as a teller for Home Federal Bank before becoming a mother and homemaker. After raising her family, JoAnn worked as a paraprofessional in the Rochester School District for over sixteen years. JoAnn enjoyed holiday family traditions, traveling with and to see family, crocheting, and animals, especially horses. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and was involved in the community. Her work here is done. JoAnn is survived by her husband Tom Luther, Rochester, MN her children, Heather Waychoff, Rochester, MN, Trina (Chris Cowell) Hofbauer, Reno, NV, and Benjamin Luther, Rochester, MN; grandchildren, Ashley Waychoff of Tennessee, Brianna Waychoff of Tennessee, Courtney Waychoff of Tennessee, Jaeden Cowell of Reno, NV, Tristan Waychoff of Tennessee, Connor Cowell of Reno, NV, and Kacy Cowell of Reno, NV; great grandsons Mason Waychoff and Caiden Owen;her five brothers and sisters, Judy (Russ) Theel, Rochester, MN, Wes Wussow, Rochester, MN, Rick (Peggy) Wussow, Stewartville, MN, Roger Wussow, Rochester, MN, and Tami Wussow Baker, Rochester, MN; an uncle Norm (Shari) Nesler, Pine Island, MN and an aunt Lori Nesler, So. St.Paul, MN; and seven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 17, 2015 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes' Chapel. Visitation will be held from 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, 2015 and one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
