Jennifer R. Kee

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Jennifer Rose (Taylor) Kee, who left us on January 15, 2025, at the age of 51.

Jen was born on September 18, 1973, in Rochester, Minnesota, MN to her mother, Jacquelyn (Gorath) Taylor. She grew up in Chatfield, MN. After high school, Jen had several jobs, but ultimately became a homemaker and caretaker to her children; Janessa, Payton, Austin, and bonus daughter, Cortney. In 2014, Jennifer married Scott Kee, and they shared a wonderful life together, creating lasting memories filled with passion, laughter and joy.

Jen lived a vibrant life filled with creativity, strength, and love. She was often the life of the party, and enjoyed supporting Scott at his shows. Some of her hobbies included crocheting, crafts, and making jewelry. She especially loved making blankets, hats and booties for all of her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Being a grandmother was one of her greatest titles.

Jen is survived by her husband, Scott Kee; Children, Janessa (Scott) Weatherly, Payton Lawson, Austin Drake, and Cortney (Kyle) Sivesind; sister, Faith (Dion) Rindahl; grandchildren, Colton, Emily, Isaac, Dominic, Keigen, Arianna, Luna, Hadley, Emme, Jack, Ayden, Thatcher and Kolston; nieces, Destiny (Payton) Mansager and Kira Cordell; as well as many other family and friends that she loves deeply. Jen is preceded in death by her mother, Jackie; her aunt; Nancy Gorath; mother-in-law, Diane Kee; as well as her maternal grandparents.

A celebration of life will be held from 4:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at the American Legion (915 21st Ave SE, Rochester, MN 55904).
