Jeffrey R. Groves, 59, of Rochester, died Friday, June 14, 2013 at his residence. Jeffrey Robert Groves was born December 9, 1953 in Newburgh, NY to George and Evelyn (Weygant) Groves.He grew up in Rochester and graduated from Mayo High School.He married Lynne Halverson on December 20, 1980 at Scheie Lutheran Church in Mabel, MN.He was employed at Lewiston Auto.Jeffrey was a very devoted family man, loved music, and loved his dogs. Jeffrey is survived by his wife; sons, Sean and Bryan, both of Rochester; his mother, Evelyn of Rochester; and sisters, Sharon Schwarz (Gary Anderson) of Lincoln, CA and Gail Groves of Rochester.He was preceded in death by his father; and brother-in-law, Larry Schwarz. A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Bethel Lutheran Church with the Reverend Anjanette Bandel officiating.A private family burial will be held at Oakwood East Cemetery in Rochester.A visitation will be from 5:00 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.Memorials are appreciated to Paws and Claws.
