Jeffrey Edwin Kubiak

"Caveman"

Oct. 02, 1954 - Feb. 04, 2025

Jeff passed away at St. Mary's hospital in Rochester MN. He was born in Milwaukee WI on October 2, 1954 to Edwin and June Kubiak. He grew up in Greenfield WI with his 2 younger brothers Eric and Mark. After high school Jeff joined the U.S. Marine Corps. He received an honorable discharge on October 22, 1980. After that he married Sheri (Bates) in 1981. They had 3 children together, Kirk Eli April 13, 1982, who very unfortunately passed away shortly after birth, Nicole Lynn September 3, 1983 and Amanda Rose March 11, 1985. Jeff and Sheri divorced in 1989. After some time and dating here and there he met Mary Johnson and they were together just shy of 21 years. Jeff spent his life as a mechanic, sometimes on cars but mostly on large machinery in factories. He retired from Meyers in Bay City WI. Jeff loved motorcycles, tattoos and Rock and Roll music. He was proud to be a U.S. Marine and proud of his Polish heritage. He loved his family with everything he had, nothing was more important and celebrating birthdays was a must for him. He was very well known in his home area surrounding Milwaukee and in Red Wing over to Bay City and Maiden Rock as "Caveman" and it was a well earned nickname throughout his life. His sense of humor was well loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.

Jeff is preceded in death by his son Kirk Eli Kubiak, his parents Edwin and June Kubiak, his brother Eric Kubiak, his aunt Rose (Kubiak) Palama, and his grandparents.

Jeff is survived by his 2 daughters Nicole Kubiak and Amanda Kubiak, 3 granddaughters Kylah, Brisa, and Isabella, his life partner Mary Johnson, his brother Mark Kubiak, his nephews and nieces Brian, Erin, Kyle and Kayla, as well as great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Jeff's ashes will be brought to the Fort Snelling cemetery where he will receive military honors for his service.

A celebration of life will be held at the Lake City VFW (115 N Franklin St) on Saturday, March 29, 2025 starting at 2:00 PM.
