Jeffrey F. Koski Jeffrey Frank Koski age 47 of Oronoco passed away August 4, 2011 in his home after a courageous battle with cancer.He was born October 31, 1963 in Mt. Prospect, IL the son of Donald & Phyllis (Kranz) Koski.Jeff owned and operated MN Outdoor Maintenance the past 6 years.He was an avid musician who played the drums and sang in several local bands over the years, music was his passion and he had completed a personal music studio in his house.He was a huge fan of the Chicago Bears and Cubs, and he enjoyed being outdoors.He was a family man and visited with family in Illinois often.He was a member of Pax Christi Catholic Church where he had a strong catholic faith that helped him through his illness.He had considered becoming a chef, and loved to cook.He had a very fond appreciation for his 4 canine companions.He married Kim Taft on September 2, 1987 in Peoria, IL and she survives in Oronoco.Also surviving is a daughter: Jilian Koskiand a son: JC Koski both of Oronoco, his parents: Don & Phyllis Koski of Eureka, IL.A brother: Steven Koski (Lisa) of Washington, IL and a sister: Pat Scheid (Jeff) of Eureka, IL; his mother-in-law: Ruth Taft Jefferson of Pekin, IL; 2 brothers-in-law: Mark Taft (Heather) and Barry Taft (Debbie) as well as 8 nephews and 6 nieces.He was preceded in death by his grandparents.Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 AM Tuesday August 9, 2011 at Pax Christi Catholic Church.Burial will take place at a later date in Oronoco Cemetery.Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Monday at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.Memorials appreciated to the American Cancer Society.
