Jeannette Lois Nagel, 67, of Rochester passed away peacefully, after having survived Multiple Sclerosis for 34 years, on December 15, 2014 at St. Marys Hospital. Jeannette was born in Faribault, MN on August 15, 1947 to Arleigh and Elaine (Andersen) Anderson. She was a 1965 graduate of John Marshall High School and then went on to obtain her cosmetology license. Bruce and Jeannette were married on November 5, 1966 at Zumbro Lutheran Church in Rochester, MN. They started their lives together in Rochester, then moved to Cannon Falls and Red Wing before settling on a farm near Alma, Wisconsin. In 1986 they moved with their three children back to Rochester, where they have lived ever since. Jeannette enjoyed playing bingo, horseback riding, snowmobiling, water skiing and riding motorcycles. She also loved volunteering her time at the elementary schools helping the children with reading and math. Jeannette loved working on crafts, crocheting, was an avid homemaker enjoying her time cooking and sewing. Above all, Jeannette loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, all of whom she was so very proud of. Jeannette is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Bruce; children, Jodi (Bob) Froehlich of Mankato, Jill Nagel of Rochester, Chad (Missy) Nagel of Spring Valley and five grandchildren, Cody Fenske, Beau and Tyler Nagel, Alaina and Spencer Ripley. Jeannette is also survived by her parents, Arleigh and Elaine Anderson of Rochester; sister, April (Irvin) Gage of Rochester and brother, Craig Anderson of Rochester; and her mother in law, Delores Nagel. Jeannette was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Gary Nagel and father in law, Newton Nagel. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Zumbro Lutheran Church, 624 3rd Ave. SW., Rochester. Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW., Rochester and one hour prior to the service at the church.
