Jeanne L. Fenske, age 96, of Rochester, Minnesota died Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Samaritan Bethany Home on 8th in Rochester. Jeanne Luellen Fenske was born March 12, 1922 in Wyoming, MN the daughter of George and Ruth (Aney) Archer. She was raised in Wyoming, MN and graduated from Forest Lake High School. In 1940 she moved to Rochester and met her future husband, Morris Fenske. They were married on November 3, 1945 in Rochester where they made their home and raised three children. Jeanne's work career began with housecleaning for 16 years, Mayo Clinic for 15 years then daycare at The Children's Home Society for 5 years retiring in 1997. She was first and foremost a farmer's wife and mother. Jeanne was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Rochester and served as a Sunday School Teacher. She also enjoyed playing cards and bingo. She is survived by her sons, Richard (Diana) Fenske of Rochester, MN and Robert Fenske of Byron, MN; Grandchildren, Steven (Stacey) Fenske Jr., Michael (Melissa) Fenske, Christine (Matthew) Gikas, Stacie (Mark Clark) Fenske and Mattie (John) Decker who was raised by Moe and Jeanne; 8 Great Grandchildren; many step grandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren; brother, William Archer of Rochester and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, George Archer; husband, Morris Fenske (2010); and son, Steven Fenske (September 15, 2018 just hours prior to Jeanne's passing). A Memorial Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2018 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN 55901 Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
