ROCHESTER, MN:Jay Lee Schulz, 39, of Rochester, MN. died Saturday, March 26, 2016 at his residence in Rochester. Jay was born on August 3, 1976 in Rochester to Kurt and Cheryl (Suk) Schulz.He graduated from Mayo High School in 1994 and from Rochester Community Technical College in 2010 in the Building, Utility and Maintenance Program. Jay worked at Lowes and other various jobs in Rochester.He enjoyed cooking and sports, especially the Minnesota Vikings.He loved movies and making people laugh and enjoyed time with his family. He is survived by his son, Jay Schulz, Jr. of Rochester; his mother, Cheryl Schulz of Rochester; two sisters, Mercedes Schulz and Megan (John) Underhill, both of Rochester; his brother Kurt (Karlene) Schulz of Mantorville; and two nephews, Jake and Nicholas Schulz.He was preceded in death by his father, Kurt, and his paternal and maternal grandparents. There will be a private family memorial service on Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes.A visitation for friends and family will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes 5421 Royal Place NW Rochester, MN 55901.Burial will be at a later date in Oakwood Cemetery Rochester.
