Jane Elizabeth Clark, age 94 of Rochester, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 1, 2017. The memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Christ United Methodist Church in Rochester with a visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. A private family interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Christ United Methodist Church. Jane was born on June 6, 1923, in Tipton, Iowa, and was the second child of Burton and Matilda (Burmeister) Bolton. She graduated from Newton High School, in Newton, IA in 1941. On June 21, 1945, she married Vernon Clark, in Newton, IA, where Jane was raised. Jane helped in the family business, Clarks Home Fair, for over 35 years. She was a charter member of P.E.O., United Methodist Women, and an active member of Christ United Methodist Church in Rochester where she served on church circles, President of Women's Society, church foundation board and Board of Trustees. Jane was a medical reviewer for 8 years and legal secretary for Campbell and Campbell. She was also a longtime volunteer with Pink Ladies at St Mary's Hospital and Rochester Methodist Hospital auxiliary for many years. Jane is survived by her children, Linda (Robert) Wagner of Bemidji, Margaret (Kevin) Gleeson of Philadelphia, Ellen (Terry) Meyer of Rochester, Jim (Patty) Clark of Eden Prairie and Laura (Mark) Saxton of La Crosse, WI; 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon who died on March 30, 2004; and sister, Lois Bridges.
