James Edward Feeder, 92, of Rochester, Minnesota passed away on August 28, 2020 at The Homestead Memory Care Unit in Rochester of natural causes. James Feeder was born on July 31, 1928 in Wasioja, Minnesota to Ella (Franklin) and James Raymond Feeder. He grew up in the Elgin/Lake City area where he helped his dad with the chicken hatchery and ice business. He was drafted into the Army during WWII and was stationed in Germany as a Military Police. He married Anna Mae (Mike) Michelson on September 16, 1950. They had three children. He managed Cities Service Gas Station in Merrill, Wisconsin and later he and Anna Mae moved to Rochester. He was employed by International Transport and was owner and operator of several semi-trucks. After retiring from his own trucking business, he continued to drive semi-truck part-time for other companies until the age of 83. He was a Master Mason for over 55 years. He enjoyed gardening, camping, boating, spending time with his beloved cats and dogs, and making Christmas candy and cookies every year. He is survived by his son, Edward (Connie) Feeder of Rochester; daughter, Penny Chaddock of Rochester; brother, David (Karen) Feeder of Loveland, Colorado; six grandchildren, Shawn Chilson, Scott (Stephanie) Feeder, Jeff (Amy) Feeder, Josh (Sheena) Bartel, Michelle (Jason) Denny and Melissa Gasner; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Anna Mae; his daughter, Gail Bartel; sisters, Shirley DeWitte, Mary Neumann, Phyllis Thompson, Lois Johnson; 2 grandchildren, Kathy Chaddock, Cassandra Bartel, and 1 great-great granddaughter, Novalynn Jean Chaddock. The family would like to thank the staff at The Homestead Memory Care Unit and Seasons Hospice for the excellent care their father received. Memorials are referred to Seasons Hospice, 1696 Greenview Drive SW Rochester, MN 55902. A private family burial will be held at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
