ROCHESTER, MINN: Jack W. Greiner, 60, died Thursday, August 25, 2011 at home after fighting a courageous 13 month battle with cancer. A celebration of his life will be held at Victory Baptist Church, 606 36th Ave. SE, Rochester, MN on Sunday, August 28, 2011 from 4:00-7:00pm. A memorial service will be held at 4:30pm at the church on Monday, August 29, 2011, with Pastor Darrel Mohler officiating. Jack grew up in Cary, Illinois and moved to Rochester in 1979. Zeke worked at Mister Muffler as an auto mechanic for 15 years, he owned his own auto repair shop (Motor Tech, Inc.) and was most recently employed by the Rochester Public School District (Longfellow). Jack purchased his first Harley in 2001 and the hobby began! He and Sue spent most of their free time on his bike touring the country. For the celebration on Sunday, everyone is encouraged to dress casual; wear a Harley T-shirt in Jack's honor! His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Susan; son, Jonathan (Suzanne) Greiner of Thornton, CO; daughter, Catherine Katie Greiner of Rochester; four grandchildren, Quentin, Reece, Reagan, Rylan; his mother, Eileen Greiner of Cary, IL; his two sisters, Kim LaFranzo of Cary, IL and Sue Greiner of Westcliffe, CO and twelve nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack E. Greiner, and one infant grandson, Riley Cooper Greiner. Memorials may be made to the family.
