Ione A. Kranz

Rochester- Ione A. Kranz, 83, passed away on October 25, 2011 at Seasons Hospice. She was born April 17, 1928 in Rochester to Arthur and Irene (Paulson) Hanson. Ione met Clair Kranz and was married August 14, 1947 in Rochester. She was a member of Homestead United Methodist Church and worked at Kmart for 25 years as a sales clerk. She is survived by her daughters, LuAnn (Tracy) Blanshan of Eyota, MN, Lynette (Steve) Overby of Douglas, WY; 2 grandsons, Shaun Blanshan, Chanse (Chelsie) Blanshan; 2 great-grandsons, Teagan and Tristen Blanshan and a host of friends that she loved. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clair and by her parents. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Friday, October 28, 2011 at Homestead United Methodist Church 400 13th Ave SE, Rochester, MN. Visitation will be held from 9:00am until time of service at the church. Rev. Becky Jo Messenbrink and Jane Day will be officiating with interment at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
