ROCHESTER- Inez T. Smith, 95, longtime resident of Rochester, passed away April 13, 2011 at Madonna Towers Skilled Care Center. She was born November 14, 1915 in Owatonna, MN to Merton and Mary (Bendorf) Wentworth. On September 7, 1940 in Minneapolis, Inez married Calvin Smith. She was a charter member of Community Presbyterian Church. Inez spent over 9000 hours volunteering as a pink lady with the Methodist Hospital Auxiliary. She also loved reading, knitting and quilting. She is survived by her nieces, Cindy Packard of Colorado Springs, CO and Pamela (Shel) Kaganoff and Pamela's son, Matt Irwin all of Santa Barbara, CA; sister-in-law, Nan Wentworth and also nieces, Mary Rose, Jaynie Wentworth, Ginger Petersen of CA and nephew, Rick Wentworth of FL. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Calvin; parents and her siblings. A funeral service will be held 1:00pm Monday, April 18, 2011 at Community Presbyterian Church 3705 55th St. NW, Rochester, MN 55901. Visitation will be held 12:00 noon until time of services at the church. Reverend William Hoffman will be officiating with interment at Oakwood Cemetery.
