Inez 'Dolly' Margaret Cords

ROCHESTER- Inez M. Cords "Dolly", 92, of Rochester, passed away March 3, 2011 at Holt's Country Care. She was born November 11, 1918 in Cannon Falls, MN to Fred and Hilda (Hanson) Swanson. Dolly graduated from Cannon Falls High School. On June 11, 1936 in Cannon Falls, Dolly married Carl Cords. She was a member of the Gopher Camping Club and volunteered for over 25 years at Methodist Hospital. Dolly enjoyed playing bridge, baking, bowling, going camping and enjoyed spending many winters with her husband in Texas. Her main love in life was her family. She is survived by her son, John "Jack" (Donna) Cords of Rochester; 5 grandchildren, Randy Cords, Monica Corona, Jeffrey Cords, Cathy Jones, Vicky Rose; 8 great-grandchildren, Cyrus Cords, Dillon Cords, Cullen Cords-Neu, Nicholas Corona, Brittany Cords, Shane Cords, Carissa Rose and Corey Rose; 2 great, great-grandchildren, Aliyah Yogerst and Ava Cords; sister, Marion (Harold) Kummer of Hastings, MN and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Carl; parents; 3 brothers, Leonard, Eldridge and Ralph; and a sister, Lorraine. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 7, 2011 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN with Pastor Mark Woodward officiating.
