LUTTMERS Hiram Luttmers Jr, 83, of Byron, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Fieldcrest Care Center in Hayfield, MN. Hiram was born April 23, 1937 in Pipestone, MN to Hiram and Mildred (Bloodgood) Luttmers. After school, Hiram went to work as a mechanic at the Ford plant in Kansas City, MO for numerous years before becoming an over the road truck driver. Hiram worked for Allied Vans and retired from Warren Transport in Waterloo, IA in 2001. On September 9, 1989, Hiram married Judylaine Hart Fenske in Byron, MN. Hiram loved driving late model race cars and watching NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt Sr. After retiring, he continued to haul for Rock Dell Meats, enjoyed tinkering in his garage, mowing yard and watching the History channel. Hiram loved a great cup of coffee, and meeting up for coffee with the guys. He was strong willed, patient and carried his quick wit up until the end. He will be missed. Hiram is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Judy; stepson, Steven (Stacey) Fenske Jr.; grandchildren, Cody Fenske, Erika Stockinger, Rylie McRoberts and great-grandchildren, Harper Kaye Fenske and Madelyn Stockinger. Hiram is also survived by his sister, Charlotte (Jerry) Sevlie; brother, Don (Francine) Luttmers and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. Hiram was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Callis and by his parents. A time to celebrate Hiram's life will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester.
