Hertha Frieda Gertrude Lenz

ROCHESTER, MINN: Hertha Lenz, 88, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Sunrise Cottages. Hertha was born June 9, 1924 in Elgin, MN to the Rev. Julius and Hedwig (Mueller) Lenz. She was a 1942 graduate of Elgin High School and worked at the Mayo Clinic as a desk clerk, retiring after 35 years of service. Hertha was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church. She was a dog lover, enjoyed sewing and had a green thumb when it came to gardening whether it was vegetables or flowers. Hertha is survived by her sister, Janet Webb of Burnsville, MN and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 6 brothers, Manfred, Gilbert, Werner, Armin, Julius, and Milton and by 4 sisters, Ruth DeFrang, Doris Clark, Edith Tomfohr and Norma Borg-Breen. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Rev. Jon Bitter will be officiating with entombment at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
