Herman Bleimeyer

Herman Ray Bleimeyer, 90, of Rochester, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Saint Mary's Hospital.

Herman Bleimeyer was born July 27, 1933, in Galveston, Texas, to Julius and Jessie (Rhoden) Bleimeyer. He graduated high school in Texas. On Aug. 30, 1952, he married Raynelle Bleimeyer in Texas. The couple moved to Oklahoma and then Wyoming. In 1971, they moved to Rochester, MN, returned to Austin, Texas, and finally settling in Rochester in 1988. Herman and Raynelle enjoyed a wonderful 66 years together before her passing in 2018.

Herman worked for the Santa Fe railroad in Cleburne, Texas for a short time before joining the US Air Force. Following his term in the Air Force, he joined IBM and enjoyed a very successful career through several roles over three decades. Herman was a brilliant and creative man who loved to fish, build things with his hands and was a life-long learner. He also loved to travel, especially to Hawaii. Herman had a wonderful sense of humor as well as being a role model for his sons and grandchildren. He will be missed by many whose lives he has touched.

Herman is survived by his two sisters, Linda Willis (Keith), Marie Cashion, sons, Robert (Regina) Bleimeyer of Baxter MN and Paul (Julie) Bleimeyer of Mantorville; two grandsons, Michael and Zachary Bleimeyer; and two step grandchildren, Sarah and James Peterson. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife Raynelle.

Herman Ray Bleimeyer, age 90 of Rochester, passed away on June 12, 2024 at Mayo Clinic Hospital- St. Mary's Campus.

Memorial Service will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester, MN 55901. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service.
