Helen Marie Hoven

ROCHESTER, MN: Helen M. Hoven, 84, died Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Samaritan Bethany Heights. Helen was born July 4, 1925 to John and Clara (Hanson) Holland in LaCrosse, WI. Helen attended school in Oronoco, MN and Rochester Public Schools. She married Orrin Hoven on December 30, 1941 in Rochester, MN. Orrin was a brick layer in Rochester for many years. She worked for many years as a housekeeper for Dr. Howard Rome. Orrin died September 17, 1990. Helen enjoyed shopping, cooking, taking car rides, and spending time with her children and her grandchildren. She was a past member of the Rochester V.F.W. and American Legion. Helen is survived by her two daughters; Jacqueline (Dave) Underwood, Rochester, MN and Diane (Gus) Snakenberg, Remer, MN, and her son David Hoven, Rochester, MN, nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, eleven great great grandchildren, and her brother John (Barb) Holland, Rochester, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers.A Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 19, 2010 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes' chapel.
