ROCHESTER -Helen M. Geiselhart, 91, died on Friday, September 23, 2011 at Lake City Nursing Home in Lake City, MN Helen was born in Wadena, MN on November 21, 1919 to Herman and Clara (Engen) Hansen. She married Harry E. Geiselhart on April 15, 1939 in Wadena, MN.She and her husband resided in Virginia Beach, VA and Grand Forks, ND, moving to Rochester, MN in 1971.Harry was a self employed carpenter.He died October 13, 1979.Helen worked as a housekeeper for several Mayo Clinic Doctors and spent the last 18 years working in the Harwick Building Cafeteria at Mayo Clinic until becoming ill in November 2010.She lived at Fontaine Towers for the last 25 years.She liked traveling, spending time with her grandchildren, and eating out. Helen is survived by two children, Larry (Bette) Geiselhart, of Rochester, and Shirley Ann Hewitt, of Virginia Beach, VA; five grandchildren, Eric Geiselhart, Michelle (Monty) Bates, Cindy Sweeney, Jodi (Marz) Reomalis, Wendy (Jeff) Baxter; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great granchild; and a sister, Esther Daily, of Wadena, MN. Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Harry; her parents; and three sisters and two brothers. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 222 6th Ave. SW. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service on Thursday.Interment will take place at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
