Helen M. Wittlief A memorial service for Helen M. Wittlief, 80, of Potsdam will be at 11:00am on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Resurrection Lutheran Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Helen Mae Farley was born on July 1, 1937 in LaCrosse, WI to Leo and Phoebe (Clement) Farley. She died on August 9, 2017 at St. Marys Hospital. Helen attended schools in Pine Island. She married Kenneth Baker in 1953 and he later passed away. She married Richard Wittlief on July 3, 1980. Helen enjoyed traveling, reading, word searches and watching TV. She enjoyed her family and liked to keep in touch with all her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Richard of Potsdam; children, Bonnie Smith of Bemidji, Joel Rautio of SC, Wendy Rautio of Cloquet, Wanda Bussey of KS, Terry (Denny) Hoffman of KS, Jeffrey Heidabrink of MO and Marlys (David) Udenberg of Cloquet; step children, Debbie (Tom) Seim, Carol (Allan) Rahrmann, Leesa (Jeffrey Rehwaldt) Kobi, Jackie (Garry) Hubbard, Joyce Wilson and Paula (Keith) Zincke; 17 grandchildren, 17 step-grandchildren; great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; siblings, Robert Farley and Fred Rausch, both of Plainview, Rose (Florin) Holt of MO, Betty Raveill (Walt Kranz) of MO, Carol Gustafson of Oronoco, Patricia Adriance of Owatonna, Anne Warehime of Oronoco and Sharon (Richard) Osborn of SD. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth, parents, a son, Kevin Baker, three sisters, Ruth and Mary Rausch and Maryann Ales and one brother, Sidney Rausch.
