Helen F. Fisher

Helen F. Fisher, age 84, of Rochester, MN died Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Season's Hospice House in Rochester, MN. Helen was born November 23, 1934 in Booneville, Arkansas the daughter of Orville and Stella (Reed) Marrel. She graduated from North High School in Wichita, KS. Helen married James Fisher on March 1, 1953 in Wichita, Kansas. They resided in Wichita, KS for 20 years, Boulder, CO for 6 years, and Rochester, MN for 46 years. Helen worked as a medical records clerk at Mayo Clinic for 17 years, retiring in 1994. Helen enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, painting ceramics and cooking. She also enjoyed her volunteer work at Rochester Assembly. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, James Fisher of Rochester; daughters, Debrah Fisher of Birmingham, AL, Keli (James) Vale-Merrill of Rochester, MN, Lori Fisher Emmons of Rochester, MN; grandchildren, Jaime (John) Hubert of Stewartville, MN, Travis Fisher of Rochester, MN, Crystal Vale of Rochester, MN, Kevin Merrill of Rochester, MN, John Paul Merrill of Rochester, MN, Kyia (Gavin) Nichols of Vance, AL; nine great grandchildren, Shawn, Sindel, Kloe, Elijah, A.J., Daniel, Kolten, Rayah, Landon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Stella Marrel; sister, Mary Livingston; great grandson, Shawn Robb. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Rochester Assembly, 4240 18th Ave. NW, Rochester, MN 55901. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be held at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery-Preston. Memorials are preferred to Rochester Assembly Missionary Fund.
