Helen Ann Monson

ROCHESTER, MINN:Helen A. Monson, 84, died Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Cottagewood Senior Community. Helen Ann Alrick was born July 15, 1931 to Raymond and Hazel (Bergh) Alrick in Austin, MN. She graduated from Hayfield High School in 1949. Helen married Nordeen Rouhoff in 1952 and he later died in 1958. Helen married Donald G. Monson on March 17, 1962 in Zumbrota, MN. After raising her children, Helen worked with her husband Don in the accounting office of World Travel Bureau and Anderson Formal Wear. She enjoyed reading and fishing. She was an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church and was a long time volunteer at serving funeral lunches. Helen was a beloved mom and wife and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Helen is survived by her husband Donald Monson, Rochester, MN; her two children, Linda (Bill) Brown, Rochester, MN and Chris (Sue) Monson, Shakopee, MN; and her five grandchildren, Cara Brown, Christa (Brett) Bonine, Creighton Monson, Callie Monson, Corey Monson. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes' Chapel. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 and one hour before the service at the funeral home. A private family interment will be held at Oakwood Cemetery.
