Harriett M. Vrieze

Harriett M. Vrieze, 78, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at her home. Harriett was born January 11, 1936 in Wykoff, MN to Alex and Lillian (Lex) Riddle. She was a graduate of Wykoff High School. On December 30, 1958 in Wykoff, Harriett married Wiley Vrieze. She worked in the Radiology Department at Mayo Clinic for many years before retiring in 2001. She was a member of Evangel United Methodist Church in Rochester. Harriett enjoyed reading, playing cards and meeting with her card club once a month. Above all, Harriett loved spending time and making memories with her family. Harriett is survived by her four daughters, Deanna Brogan of Rochester, Jill (John) Crowson of Stewartville, Janelle (Steve) Blazing of Sebring, FL, and Heather (Tim) Halvorson of Rochester; sevengrandchildren, Kalli Brogan, Kyle Brogan, Amy Crowson, Amber Crowson, Daniel Crowson, Andrew Halvorson, and Mikayla Halvorson; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Alice Winslow, Edith Christopherson, and June (Wayne) Anderson and brother, Merle (Barb) Riddle. Harriett was preceded in death by her loving husband, Wiley; sister, Dolores Calhoun; brothers, Raymond, Earl and Melvin Riddle and her parents, Alex and Lillian. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Evangel United Methodist Church, 2645 North Broadway Ave., Rochester, MN. Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 PM Friday, July 11, 2014 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW., Rochester, MN. The Rev.
