Harold F. Schoenmann, 81, of Rochester, passed away April 25, 2016 at his home. Harold was born December 7, 1934 in Spring Green, WI to H.J. and Mildred (Aron) Schoenmann. He was a graduate of Rochester High School. Harold was a veteran of the U.S. Army. While in the Army, Harold met Loretta Bonivida in Virginia and then they were married on January 17, 1959 in Brockway,Pennsylvania. He was well known with the auto body industry and taught at Mayo High School. Harold had a knack for restoring anything from tractors to totaled autos for his family. He was also an insurance adjuster after his auto body teaching. When his children were young, he spent a lot of time on Lake Zumbro fishing, water skiing and camping. During the winter he enjoyed snowmobiling. Above all, he loved his grandchildren and watching them play hockey, baseball and volleyball. Harold is survived by his wife, Loretta; children, Gary (Kristi) of Rochester, Sharon (Mitchell) Dahl of Rochester, Mark of Oronoco and Diane (Duane) Helgerson of Eyota; grandchildren, Adam (Katie) Dahl, Aaron (Brit Susdorf) Dahl, Megan (Chris) Cunningham, Cody Schoenmann, Kelsi Helgerson; great-grandchildren, Charlotte Cunningham, Ella and Landon Dahl and by his brother Robert Lefty (Pat) Schoenmann of Wabasha. Harold was preceded in death by his parents. A mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00AM Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Pax Christi Catholic Church, 4135 18th Ave. NW, Rochester. Visitation will be held from 10:00AM until time of the mass. Father Joseph Fogal will be the celebrant with inurnment at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home.
