Harold W. Buske, 96, passed away on April 3, 2017 at Golden Living Center East in Rochester, MN. Harold was born April 28, 1920 in Rochester, MN. to Walter and Adela (Prigge) Buske. He attended Trinity Lutheran School and graduated from Rochester High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1942 1946. He had a full career as a printer, working for Schmidt Printing for over 40 years. He also worked briefly for the Post Bulletin. On July 28, 1941, he married Bernice Holzer, who preceded him in death in 1986. On September 15,1990 he married Barbara Robitschek. Harold was a very active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed reading, photography, stamp collecting, walking, listening to music and playing cards. He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Rochester; two sons, David (Connie) Buske of Rochester, MN. and Gary (Angela) Buske of Midland, MI.; stepchildren Rex (Karen) Robitschek of Prior Lake, MN, Lauren (John) Greene of Madison, WI., Christine (Michael Gillit) Robitschek of Lubbock, TX.; four grandchildren, Brian (Shari) Buske, Christy (Joseph) Heil, Jennifer (Daniel) Sigal and Matthew Buske; six great-grandchildren Andrew, Rachel, Emily, Sarah, Jacob and Joshua; three step-grandchildren Georgia (Diana) Greene, William Greene, and Naomi Robitschek; two step great-grandchildren Alayah and Emma; and his sister-in-law LeNora Buske of Rochester, MN. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Bernice, his brother Ralph, and his sister Margaret Matson. Harold was a loving, gentle, accepting and unassuming man with a dry sense of humor. He will be deeply missed. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church 222 6th Avenue SW Rochester with Reverend Joel Haak officiating. Visitation will be on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home 5421 Royal Place NW Rochester, MN 55901 and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens Rochester, MN. Memorials may be designated to Trinity Lutheran Church Rochester or a charity of the donors choice.
