ROCHESTER, MINN: Harland Joseph Grabbe Bud, 80, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Maple Manor Health Care and Rehabilitation Center. Bud was born December 21, 1932 in Hays, Kansas to Adolph and Leona (Wiegel) Grabbe. On November 28, 1970, Bud married Bernadine Bunny Sobrek at the Little Brown Church in Iowa. Bud proudly served his country and was a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of Saint Pius X Catholic Church. Bud worked at Stauffer Chemical and worked as an electrician until he retired in 1998. He loved to bowl and woodworking. Bud is survived by his loving wife, Bunny; sisters, Connie Bourbina of Independence, KS, Terri Demel of Sun City, AZ, Carol (John) Osborne of Wichita, KS, Judy (Terry) Ford of Hugoton, KS, and Mary Kay Grabham of Arkansas; brothers, J.R. (Barbara) Grabbe of Hays, KS and Gerald Grabbe of Hill City, KS; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Leona. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Monday, March 25, 2013 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. Visitation will be held from 10:00am until time of service.
