Gwendolyn Mary Campbell died on Saturday, November 25th, 2017 at Pine Haven Care Center surrounded by her family. She was a gracious hostess and enjoyed entertaining guests from near and far. Her priorities in life were Faith, Family and Friends. Gwen was born on December 20, 1926 to Eben and Gertrude Lundquist, and grew up In Rochester, MN. She graduated from Rochester High school, attended Rochester Junior College, and worked in the pathology lab at Mayo Clinic. She married David H. Campbell on September 25th, 1948. They moved to rural Byron and raised three children. She was an active member of the First Congregational Church in Mantorville, Zumbro Valley Grange, Eastern Star, Rebekah Lodge, Gideon Auxiliary, Out to Learn Extension Club, the Mantorville Senior Citizens, and church circles. Later she returned to the Byron United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, brother Frank Lundquist, and daughter-in-law Nancy Campbell. She is survived by son Wallace Campbell of Byron, daughters Rosemary Campbell, and Marilyn Campbell (Jerry Haas) of Rochester, Granddaughters Heather Temple (David Temple) and Nora Haas, and Great-Grand Children Collin and Alexis Temple. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, November 29th at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral home in Rochester with Pastor Brian Egelston officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 28th 5:00 to 7:00 pm and one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
