Gregory Owen Sellnow

Gregory O. Sellnow, 54, of Rochester, died Saturday, March 10, 2012. Gregory Owen Sellnow was born November 8, 1957 in Paynesville, MN.He was raised in Brainerd, MN.He graduated from the University of Missouri Columbia, School of Journalism.He worked at the Cape Girardeau, MO newspaper for two years, the Bismarck Tribune for four years, and the Rochester Post-Bulletin for the past 26 years.Greg married Shelly Kotyk on June 20, 1981 in Brainerd.He enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, camping, the outdoors, reading, music, and being a sports fan. Gregory is survived by his wife, Shelly of Rochester; two daughters, Caitlin Sellnow of Evanston, IL and Abigail Sellnow of Moorhead, MN; one son, Cameron Sellnow of Rochester; his father, Lester (Linda) Sellnow of Riverton, WY; his mother, Beth Sellnow of Brainerd; two sisters, Pam (Mike) O'Rourke and Lori (Gary) Morgan, both of Brainerd; and one brother, Tim (Deanna) Sellnow of Lexington, KY. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 2830 18th Ave NW, Rochester, with the Reverend Laura Sutherland and the Reverend Siri Strommen Campbell officiating.A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church.
