Grace Helen Franz

ROCHESTER, MINN:Grace H. Franz, 94 died July 9, 2012 at Golden Living Center East in Rochester. Grace Helen Miller was born September 7, 1917 to Charles and Martha E. Maude (Rumbaum) Miller in Hammond, MN. After graduating from high school, Grace worked at Mayo Clinic as a Lab Technician in the Urinalysis Lab for twenty-five years until her retirement. She married Emery Franz on June 18, 1939 in Hammond, MN and he later died in 1973. Grace was an active member of Evangel United Methodist Church and the sewing circle. Grace is survived by her two daughters, Allison Larson, Rochester, MN and Cheryl (David) Ellringer, Eau Claire, WI; a son James (Cherrie) Franz, Rapid City, SD;special cousins, Fred and Pat Ableitner, Rochester, MN; her grandchildren Kimberly (Corey) Husfeldt, Christopher (Jenni) Larson, Jill (Casey) Dudley, Jenna (Fiance' Travis Doppenberg) Larson, Aaron (Jen) Ellringer, Jenny Ellringer, Ben (Kris) Franz, and Hunter (Fiance' Teena Lippert) Hameister; Great grandchildren Lukas, Brayden, Elliana, Ashlyn, Brecken, Mason, Izabella, Olive, Sylvester, Ira, and Colton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Emery, and her son Charles. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at Evangel United Methodist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens at a later date. Memorials are suggested to A.B.C., Ability Building Center.
