Gordon "Gordy" Alvin Stiller, 71, of Oronoco died on Monday, September 21, 2020, at his residence. Gordy was born on May 20, 1949, to Alvin and Evelyn (Meyer) Stiller in Rochester. In 1967 he graduated from John Marshall High school. He went on to serve in the United States Navy in August of 1968. He was honorably discharged in May of 1970 and served in the reserves until January of 1973. He was a successful business owner of G & S Antenna Service until he retired. Gordy later went back to work for Sargent's Garden Center in Rochester. He had an amazing green thumb and loved to grow. On March 3, 1973, Gordy married Linda Campion in Rochester and later divorced. Gordy lived in the Byron area for over 40 years. He was a volunteer for the Byron Fire Department for 25 years and was the Fire Marshall for 10 years. Gordy enjoyed carpentry, farming, hunting, and he was very political. Gordy is survived by his children, Kari Blom of Byron, Melissa Stiller of Brandon, SD, and Travis G. (J. Pablo) Stiller of Inver Grove Heights; mother, Evelyn Stiller of Rochester; three grandchildren, Charlie, Jordyn, Julia Blom and siblings, Patricia Manley of Key West, FL Karen Nelson and Marsha (Denny) Meyers both of Rochester. He is preceded in death by his father, Alvin Stiller. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW Rochester, MN 55901. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2020, and one hour before the service at the funeral home.
