Goldie Marie Steinhagen

ROCHESTER, MINN: Goldie Marie Steinhagen, 101 passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Golden Living East. Goldie was born December 16, 1910 in rural Byron to William and Marietta (Houck) Dean. Goldie married Clarence Steinhagen on May 3, 1931 in Rochester. Goldie was employed at Kresger's and then at the Mayo Clinic, where she worked in the history office for 25 years. She retired in January 1976. She was a longtime member of the Berean Community Church. Goldie was active in many church groups as well as Mayo Clinic Women's Club. Goldie is survived by her son, Darrell; grandson, Mark and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence; grandson, Gary; 2 brothers and 6 sisters. A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 29, 2012 at Berean Community Church 3157 Kenosha Dr. NW, Rochester, MN 55901. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until time of service at the church. Rev. Kelly Reynolds will be officiating with interment at Grandview Memorial Gardens.
