Goldie Catherine Suk

Goldie C. Suk, 92, died April 11, 2014 peacefully at home with her family. She was born May 31, 1921 in Rochester, MN.Her parents were Ernest and Agnes Hodge.She graduated from Rochester High School and went onto nursing school at the Rochester State Hospital where she obtained her R.N. nursing degree. She interned at Gillette Childrens Hospital and Duluth. She met and married William E. Suk in Duluth, MN.They settled in Rochester, MN where they were married for 67 wonderful years and raised 4 children. While in Rochester she was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with family and going to Wisconsin to be at their cabin at Half Moon Lake.Goldie enjoyed cooking (her specialty was desserts of all sorts), reading and taking care of her pets.She was an avid gardener and loved growing flowers. She proceeded in the death of her husband.Survivors include two sons, William R. (Glenda) Suk, Michael D. (Veronica) Suk; two daughters, Cheryl A. Schulz and Holly E. Suk all of Rochester.There are 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. A private service will be held at Evangel United Methodist Church at a later date.
