Gloria D. Hill

Gloria Delores Hill, 88, of Rochester, MN passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at The Mayo Clinic, St. Marys campus. Gloria was born April 7, 1931 in Witoka, MN to Foster and Gina (Betten) Hill. She attended Witoka High School and then went on to work at The Mayo Clinic, Methodist Hospital, as part of the food service and hospitality team. Gloria retired from Mayo Clinic in 1994, after 40 years of service. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling, cats and drawing, especially sketching with charcoal. Gloria had a passion for music, which included listening to her extensive collections of albums and taking several bus trips to Branson. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Gloria will be remembered for her great sense of humor, her sweet personality and her grateful, and humble heart. Gloria is survived by her brothers, Everett Hill, Wayne (Susan) Hill and Gene (Judy) Hill; nieces, Beth (Brad) Putney, Mindy (Dave) Kuenstler; nephew, Craig (Karla) Hill and several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents, Foster and Gina; sisters, Eileen and Lucille; brother, George and twin infant brothers, Leland and Lester. A funeral celebrating Gloria's life will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of the service. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery.
