Glenn Edward Webster, Jr., 83, of Mantorville, Minn., and Corte Bella, Ariz., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, was gathered into God's loving arms on Sept. 19, 2017, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minnesota. Glenn, who was young at heart, lived each day to the fullest. He enjoyed a good laugh, a nice cocktail with friends, golfing, sailing, traveling the world, and anything that his best friend and wife Carla signed him up to do, from remodeling a historic house, and other building projects, to living on their sailboat for a summer. He also took part in Civil War reenactments, community volunteering, and he is known as "Flag Master of Mantorville," making sure the American flags were displayed on the bridge for holidays and celebrations. Glenn, a natural athlete, was a star on his high school football team in Rochester, MN. and continued to be an active runner well into his 70's. He graduated from the University of Minnesota as a mining engineer, and enjoyed a long career at 3M, St. Paul, Minn. He is survived by his wife Carla, beloved dog Pepperelle, and children, Debra Hagen (Jim) of Minnetonka, Mark Webster (Unsie) of Excelsior, Lisa Anderson (Mark) of Elk River, and Chris Mestler, St. Paul; grandchildren Jim and Emily Hagen, Matthew (Lauren), Michael, Mitchell and Meghan Anderson, great grandchildren Emmitt, Elliot and Caspian Anderson; nieces Cheryl, Suzanne, and Tammy, as well as many more wonderful relatives and friends too numerous to mention. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents Glenn E. Webster, Sr. and Elizabeth Wyatt Webster, and sister Virginia Webster Kienietz. A memorial service for Glenn will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 14, at Ranfranz & Vine Chapel, 5421 Royal Place N.W.
